Getting Started

• How do we get started?

Get in touch and tell us about your project. Once we have all the necessary information, we'll send you a quotation. Easy.

• Can we meet first?

Definitely, yes! We’d love to meet up. We’re based in Manchester, but can travel further afield for larger projects.

• What information do you need to send a quote?

The more information you can provide, the better. For content writing projects, we also need to know the type of webpages (e.g. case study, landing page, article) and how many pages you need, approx. word count per page (we can make recommendations if that helps), if you are reliant on search engines for traffic, and your deadline.

• How much do you charge?

We charge a pre-agreed flat rate. Rates are based on the effort required from us, our experiences and the value we will add to your business.

• When do I pay?

We require a 50% payment before the project and the remaining funds upon completion.

Working Process

• How do you know what to write about?

To help us gather as much detail as possible, we’ll send you a project questionnaire. We want to know about your target market, history, accreditations, USPs – everything! In addition, we can arrange phone calls, site visits and even test-drive your services. We’ll use all of the information to create a Brand Guide – a blueprint we use to ensure we write content that fits with your brand perfectly.

• How do I pick suitable SEO keywords and keyphrases?

We will help you pick popular keywords and keyphrases people use to find your services / products.

• How long do projects take?

It depends on the size of the project, but a typical turnaround is 2 - 4 weeks. If you have an urgent deadline, let us know.

• What will I receive?

Your new website content will be sent via email in Microsoft Word format. The copy will include headings and sub-headings, hyperlinks, title tags and meta descriptions.

• Can I request edits?

Yes, one round of edits is included within the project, so feel free to ask for changes if anything needs a tweak. We can make more charges at our standard hourly rate if required.

• How long will it take for Google to see my new website content?

It takes a little while. On average, Google "crawls" a website every 3 months. If you have a Google Webmaster account, you can request a visit. We will take all actions possible to write content for you that search engines love. However, while great content is a critical building block, there are other important factors too.
